Notes: The first match was billed as a "David vs. Goliath" match as Skylar Skelly faced off against the much larger "Xtreme Bulldawg" Rexx Reed. Skelly was accompanied to the ring by his entourage from Kissyboots: "The most awesome, wickedest band in the whole world, ever!" But Reed quickly established himself as the big dog in the match and sent them running whenever he would bark in their direction. Skelly's agility and skills kept him in the match, but in the end, Reed's size and strength advantage proved too much for him.
If Reed's size was intimidating, the next match featured the one man in ACW who makes him look small, El Paso's favorite son, MASSIVE. Massive's opponent in the match was Chris James who came to the ring with his tag team partner from Double Trouble, Tony Vega. Vega's involvement in the match was substantial as the rulebreaking duo used every trick in the book to gain an advantage over the aptly-named Massive. The crowd was solidly behind the big man who demonstrated moves and agility usually seen only in much smaller wrestlers. Despite their best efforts, James and his partner were unable to overcome the big man.
The next match marked the ACW debut of two of the most respected wrestlers in Texas as JT LaMotta went to battle with Joey Corman. While most of the crowd in Giddings were unaware of the reputation of these two wrestlers, that didn't stop them from recognizing what a dazzling display of skills these two possessed. The action went back and forth as both men suffered at the hands of the other. When Corman reversed LaMotta for the pin, the crowd exploded with excitement and appreciation for the match.
Since winning the ACW heavyweight title 4 months ago, Showtime Summers has beaten incredible opponents in 13 straight matches. Men like Mike Quackenbush and Nigel McGuinness failed to take the title off the fighting champion, so Summers might have been excused for slightly underestimating his opponent in this match. ACW favorite Berry Breeze wasn't taking this opportunity lightly however. Berry's quickness took Summers by surprise and several times, Berry came incredibly close to upsetting the champion. By the end of the match, many fans in attendance believed that Berry might actually do it, and Summers seemed to sense that he was in danger of losing in the greatest upset in ACW history. Summers turned up the heat and powerslammed Berry repeatedly. Each time Berry would kick out. Finally, at the point of frustration, Summers was able to slam Berry and score the pin. For Summers, this was more than just another victory. As he left the ring, the champ eyed Berry with a new-found respect.
The next match featured Rory Fox facing Doink the clown. The crowd was incredibly abusive to Fox who, despite his determination not to get flustered by the clown's antics, didn't seem able to handle the crowd's chants and taunts. To his credit, Doink seemed willing to give Fox the wrestling match Fox wanted. He was doing a good job of it too, as he seemed in control of the action when Fox distracted the referee and from outside the ring, "One Man" Mike Dell entered the ring and hit the clown with a steel chair. When the ref turned around, Fox covered Doink and the match was over.
In the next match, Tony Vega returned to the ring. While Vega's partner had faced Massive earlier, Vega's opponent in the match was Rachel Summerlyn, one half of the ACW Tag Team Champions. Vega must have thought he had gotten the better deal until Summerlyn arrived with her huge entourage, including her tag partner Skylar Skelly and the other members of Kissyboots, which seems to be getting bigger every week. The action started with a flurry as each member of Kissyboots covered Vega in turn. Vega's partner Chris James came to ringside to help out against the surprising odds in the match. With so many people ringside, the action was fast and furious. Fans had to be redirected back from the ring as the match progressed with action inside and outside the ring. James did his best to help his partner, but the merry band of Kissyboots thwarted them at every turn. Still, it was Vega who managed to gain the pin despite the best efforts of seemingly everyone in the building. After the match, a despondent Rachel had to be consoled by her friends who reminded her that she still held the Tag Championships.
In the main event, two men who both have their eyes set on the ACW Heavyweight Championship faced off for the first time in singles competition. "One Man" Mike Dell versus Jaykus Plisken promised to be a hard-fought exciting match. Before hand, Dell reminded the ref Mike Knoxville that he was only fighting matches with pure wrestling rules... That is, the normal ACW "no rules" attitude would be waived in this match. Plisken seemed unconcerned, as he had no intention of doing anything but beating his opponent in the ring. The the match started slow as the two men tested the other but the tempo grew as the match continued. Both men gained advantages at times and each took full advantage of the ref's count as the match progressed. Clearly the two were evenly matched and any mistake by either could lead to the victory by the other. Despite the promise of a clean match, the fans were denied a clear winner when, just as Plisken had applied his submission finisher, Dell's tag partner Rory Fox made the save, attacking Plisken resulting in a disqualification. In the surprise of the night, Showtime Summers made the save, revealing himself as Plisken's new partner in the tag team "Perfect Enemies" who are scheduled to face Dell and Fox Sunday in San Antonio when Anarchy Championship Wrestling presents "Respect."
