Detailed Notes (exclusive to ACW by Barry Yount – editor of the San Antonio Independent Wrestling Scene):
13 weeks ago, Anarchy Championship Wrestling presented its first show ever "Holiday Havoc" at Graham Central Station in San Antonio, Texas. Thursday night, ACW returned to Grahams. The difference was, last time the action was broken up with several local bands at a Metal-Fest music show. While ACW supports live local music, this night was to be "Strictly Wrestling!"
The first match of the evening was between two wrestlers who call San Antonio home. One wrestler, Berry has been wrestling a little more than a year, fighting mostly within Bexar County. The other wrestler Dusty Wolfe has been wrestling since the early 1980's and has fought all over the world. While Dusty's experience advantage was tremendous, Berry put up a good fight, getting his share of offense in before Wolfe was able to gain the pin.
The second match was the Total Anarchy Death Match between the Hard-Core Legend Hugh Rogue and the Chicano Assassin Chuey Martinez who was accompanied to the ring by Sexy Stevi Koi. The match involved an entire box of light tubes, several chairs a staple gun and the infamous Chucky Doll. The action got out of control and the referee left the ring area when Hugh Rogue tied Chuey Martinez to the ring ropes and attacked Sexy Stevi Koi who had entered the ring to defend Martinez. No decision was announced.

The #1 contender's match was scheduled to be between Rexx Reed & Spiro; however Spiro was not in the building. Instead, masked wrestler, the White Bull came to the ring to accept the challenge. White Bull is from Monterrey Mexico and this was his first match inside the United States. Chants of "Nacho Libre" greeted the luchadore. These two large men battled in a hard-hitting match with several slams which shook the ring and echoed through Grahams before Reed finished off "el Toro Blanco." It is unknown at this time if the championship committee will recognize the #1 contender stipulation due to the substitution.

Prior to the fourth match, ACW Tag-team Champions, The Children of Pain, Darin Childs & Jacob Ladder came to the ring carrying the tag belts as well as the TWE tag belts which they have held & defended since late last summer. Childs & Ladder revealed details of their relationship with TWE, "shooting" on the ownership of that company, and announced that would only be defending the ACW Tag belts from this point on. Despite cries from the crowd to trash the belts, Ladder & Childs had other plans. Out of respect for the lineage of the other belts and the wrestlers in that company, they called out Referee Rick Porter and gave him the belts to return. Ladder and Childs stressed that they meant no disrespect to any other wrestlers or promotions but, "The ACW Tag belts are the only tag titles that matter."

Next was a match between Jacob Ladder and Rachel Summerlyn, who was accompanied to the ring by members of "the most totally awesome, wickedest band ever, Kissyboots!" Missing from the Kissyboots group was Enigma Skylar Skelley who still hasn't received medical clearance to compete following a severe shoulder separation. On the surface, this match seemed one sided with Jacob Ladder, one half of the ACW Tag Champions and one of the toughest men in indy wrestling. Rachel Summerlyn is no push-over however, having participated in some incredibly violent matches in the last year, including the first ever female Tai-Pei Deathmatch with Micki Knuckles at last falls IWA Mid-South "Queen of the Deathmatch" Tournament (available on DVD April 10th from Big Vision at outlets nationwide.) The Kissyboots group (Chesty LaRue, Starr Babaganoush & Drew Lucid) repeatedly involved themselves in the match, much to the frustration of Ladder who allowed the distraction to get the best of him, costing him the pin.

After the intermission, Ring of Honor and MTV's Wrestling Society X star Jimmy Jacobs faced Bio-Hazard Jaykus Plisken. This match was a mix of styles as the muscular Plisken outweighed Jacobs by more than 75 pounds and towered over him. Jacob's speed, agility and innovative offense countered the size and strength of Plisken. At one point the match went into the first several rows of the crowd, even though the crowd was still in those seats at the time. The message clearly was "when Bio-Hazard tells you to get out of the way, move!" Eventually, the size and strength advantage proved to be too great for the Jimmy Jacobs and Plisken walked away with the victory. After the match, Jacobs announced that in honor of his first trip to Texas, he was willing to accept the challenge to drink as much as he could hold and moved on a seat by the bar.

Next was the Hardcore championship match between Champion Darin Childs and Challenger Ricky Rhodes. The Lonestar Kid came to the ring with his manager the Beast of Bourbon Street, Gator. This was a face-paced, violent match. Although Rhodes is not known primarily as a hard-core wrestler, he did well against the more experienced champion Childs. Rhodes inexperience in this type of match was eventually his downfall. At the height of the match, former hard-core champion Enigma Skylar Skelley came to the ring with some lighter fluid. Skelley covered a table with the fluid and ignited it. Darin Childs put the previously stunned Rhodes through the burning table. It was incredible as Rhodes burned for an excessively long time before his manager Gator was able to extinguish the flame. Almost in shock from the experience, Rhodes was unable to kick out when Childs covered him for the pin. After the match, Enigma continued his tirade, demanding an opportunity to win back the belt. Enigma's partners in Kissyboots were not able to contain him until he left the ring area on his own.

In the main event, Showtime Summers hoped to continue his streak of successful title defenses against top-rated challengers by beating Mitch Ryder. Since winning the belt in December, Summers has faced and beaten Enigma, Nigel McGuinness, Bio-Hazard, Mike Quackenbush & Scotty Riggs. No wrestler in Texas has had a more impressive run over the last 2 months. In Ryder, Summers faced yet another tough-as-nails challenger. Just eleven days ago, "Simply Marvelous" Mitch Ryder beat Jacob Ladder in a hard-core match that amazed the ACW fans. Tonight, Ryder was committed to destroying the ACW champion. This match went out of the ring and around the room as both men used whatever was available as weapons. When the wrestlers worked there way back to the ring, both were bloody and worn down. When Summers finally managed to pin Ryder, "the Marvelous one" went through the roof, attacking and beating on Summers further, reminding him that the two are set to meet again in 7 days in Seguin. "You may beat me once, but nobody beats Marvelous Mitch Ryder twice!" he proclaimed. Showtime Summers is not one to back down though, and called for Ryder to return to the ring. Ryder declined however and Summers will have to wait a week to get his hands on him again.

ACW returns to Seguin next Thursday at the Fiesta Ballroom, and then again on April 19th. From there ACW has a double shot weekend starting with a show in Giddings on Saturday April 21st. Then on Sunday the 22nd, ACW returns to the Venue at 800 Lexington in San Antonio with a huge show "Sunday Bloody Sunday" co-promoted with IWA Mid-South.
