"Welcome to Anarchy Championship Wrestling!"

Anarchy Championship Wrestling Presents:
ANARCHIST PLAYGROUND
Sunday, February 11, 2007

Anarchy Championship Wrestling returned to action Sunday night with it's second big event at the Venue in San Antonio "Anarchist Playground." Ring announcer Jeff Houston started the show in his inimitable fashion, but was interrupted by Darin Childs who addressed the crowd. "One Man" Mike Dell was supposed to have been in the main event against Nigel McGuinness, however Dell had suffered a serious gash to his head in a match the previous night. Therefore, the main event was being switched to an ACW Title match featuring McGuinness & Champion Showtime Summers. Dell came to the ring, clearly upset and insisted that he wanted to wrestle but could not get medical clearance.

The first match was a Triple-Threat Elimination match featuring Ryan Davidson, Windwalker and Ricky Rhodes, who was accompanied to the ring by his manager Gator. This was good match involving three determined individuals. The crowd supported Windwalker for most of the match. All three men took advantage of the triple threat rules to allow the others to spend time pounding on each other. Ricky Rhodes eliminated Windwalker first and then Ryan Davidson quickly eliminated Rhodes.

The next match featured CMLL star Sicodelico Jr. and Skitzo. Originally, these two were supposed to have been part of a triple threat match with Showtime Summers for the title, but with the change to the main event the match was changed to a one on one match up. The crowd support was evenly split between these two wrestlers. For the second Anarchy show in a row, Skitzo showed his ability to stay in the ring with top competitors. After battling Ian Rotten last month, it looked like he was on his way to his first ACW victory as Skitzo began to gain an advantage on the Mexican Superstar. However, before Skitzo could execute a finisher, Brett Thunder ran to the ring and interfered, leading to Skitzo being beaten. Skitzo left the ring beaten and bloody as he suffered a cut to the head requiring 8 stitches. Sicodelico Jr. showed great ability in the match and took the victory when the opportunity presented itself.

In the Hardcore Gauntlet Match, Homeless Hugh Rogue and Chuey Martinez started the match for the first 5 minutes and were joined by the other wrestlers at that point and every 2 minutes following. Rogue and Martinez, the two hardcore specialists in the match set the standard for violence early before being joined by El Lotus, Enigma Skylar Skelly and finally Rachel Putski. Rachel, who is a veteran of the IWA-MS Queen of the Deathmatch tournament, wisely avoided much of the action early "American Nightmare" El Lotus was eliminated first. Chuey Martinez, who impressed the local fans with his own brand of violence, was eliminated second when Enigma leaped over twelve feet from the balcony onto Chuey who had been placed on a table by Rogue. Hugh Rogue was then eliminated by Enigma and Rachel who had to double team the hardcore specialist to pin him. Rachel and Enigma then faced off in a rather fierce manner, with Rachel easily giving as good as she received. In the end, Rachel was the last eliminated, leaving Enigma the first ever ACW Hardcore Champion. After the match, Rogue congratulated Enigma and shook his hand, as did Rachel. The match involved mousetraps, a 2x3 board, beer cans, scissors, a staple gun, a barb wire baseball bat, steel chairs, a trash can, barb wire wrapped boards, and a "Chucky" doll.

The Tag Team Match for the ACW Tag Championship featured the challenge by a makeshift team consisting of two outstanding competitors. No one in Indy Wrestling had a better year in 2006, appearing on more important cards, than "The Anarchist" Arik Cannon, currently making even a bigger splash on MTV's Wrestling Society X. Cannon's partner, Bio-Hazard has been one of the toughest men in San Antonio since returning to town from a stint in Deep South Wrestling. Still, the Champions, The Children of Pain had a surprise in store for the challengers. The CoP actually came prepared to wrestle a mostly technical match rather than rely on the hardcore tactics for which they have come to be known. The crowd responded enthusiastically, actually supporting the traditionally rule breaking duo. The match ended when Darin Childs managed to incapacitate Cannon and pin Bio-Hazard, who was close to submitting Jacob Ladder with the "Pray for Death" submission hold.

Next came the tag match between the Dog Pound and the team of Spiro & Brett Thunder which came close to stealing the show on a card of outstanding matches. Spiro, making his return to San Antonio wrestling was greeted enthusiastically by the fans and his partner Thunder has his share of supporters in San Antonio as well. The Dog Pound, Bigg Dogg and the "Xtreme Bulldawg" Rexx Reed continue to improve as a team and these two big men are a tough match for anyone. The match had a somewhat controversial ending as Brett Thunder pinned Rexx Reed. Many in the crowd, as well as the Dog Pound insisted that Reed had kicked out at 2. The referee's decision however stood and Thunder & Spiro escaped with the victory, leaving the ring area almost as quickly as the referee who fled the ring area and the abusive chants of the fans.

In the Main Event, Summers & McGuinness battled for almost 30 minutes in an incredible match. Summers showed himself worthy of his ACW heavyweight title by going toe to toe with an international superstar the caliber of McGuinness. These two men gave the fans a match with a mix of very hard blows and technical wrestling. Support from the fans was evenly split with each men receiving chants of encouragement from different segments of the crowd. McGuinness came at Summers with an array of offensive moves, which Summers was able to defend. While the referee was recovering from being knocked to the mat, McGuinness pulled a foreign object from his trunks. Before he could use it, however it was knocked from his hand. From ringside, Mike Dell appeared and grabbed the object. Dell appeared ready to hit Summers but instead turned, hitting McGuinness instead, leading to the eventual pin by Summers. After the match, Dell confronted Summers, saying that without his help he would have lost. Summers challenged Dell to fight right then and there, but Dell chose to return to the locker room.

Fans enjoyed an outstanding night of wrestling from Anarchy Championship Wrestling who is changing the face of Indy Wrestling in Texas. Things only promise to continue to improve. The next ACW show will be in Seguin on February 22nd, followed by the show on March 11th back at the Venue in San Antonio. Already announced for that show is Chikara & IWA Mid-South Star "Lightning" Mike Quackenbush vs. Ring of Honor & Chikara Star "Double C" Claudio Castagnoli. Former WCW Tag Team Champion and ECW original Scotty Riggs will challenge "Showtime" Summers. IWA Mid-South Queen of the Deathmatch participants collide as Ann Thraxx faces Rachel Putski. IWA Mid-South Star Mitch Ryder faces Jacob Ladder. Darin Childs faces new Hardcore Champion Enigma Skylar Skelly. Check out the ACW web page for more details. www.anarchychampionshipwrestling.com
